There have been many first time experiences this year… Mind you this blog has “NOTHING” to do with what you are thinking…… after reading the title!
En route now to the hospital to do the Bone Marrow Transplant, the name sounds like a surgery but it’s not. The other name Stem Cells Replacement sounds more appropriate, the treatment begins with 6 days of High Dose Chemotherapy which will destroy the cells I have then I will be given (back to me) the bone marrow they harvested (from me) 6 weeks ago.
To serve the goal of this blog, I will tell you as much as I can what happens in the Isolation room.
To get back to why this post is titled Virgin, I just did something for the first time this morning!! I had two Dark Chocolate carré for breakfast…… I rarely eat sweets, though A LOT more than I’m used to the last 15 years. Chocolate first thing in the morning just sounds so sexy to me for some reason. The 2 tiny pieces could possibly be the unanticipated POWER, in addition to the first thing I read when I opened my eyes this morning (this detail is not to be shared unfortunately), to go through the next days of dark chamber torture.
Arriving at the hospital now.
Stay tuned!
