In medical calendar, since I’ll be having 6 days of chemo for BMT Friday is considered Day -7 if treatment actually begins right away, as the day I get my bone marrow back will be Day 0. Therefore today is Day -10.
I just got home from dinner with Mr and Mrs FDL + the very cool sister-in-law! I had my 2 Tequila Shots of the year… 2 in a year is definitely OK no matter what scale is used and my Costa Rican family should cheers to that too accordingly (times 10 of course).
Most of the preparation for BMT is already done before I went to Zurich, so there’s really no last-minute stuff to do the next 48 hours apart from eating salads and sashimis because I will not be having anything uncooked the next 2-3 months.
For those of you who actually know the title of this BLOG… without clicking back to check… The time has come for what it’s set up for – Bone Marrow Transplant Memoir-Blog! I will be blogging real-time from within my isolated quarantined filtered-oxygen room.
Does anybody know if anyone has ever recorded the process of a bone marrow transplant? I really don’t feel like doing research on this subject but anyhow this is going to be a First-ever One & Only GJ’s Bone Marrow Transplant and it will be as detailed as possible I assure you.
I’ll try to be gentle with the pictures… Mr. FDL I will send you uncensored pics like the ones you showed OLGA!
2 more days to “PARTY” before my own Asian Olympics!
XOXO
