1. Meat Congee
2. Egg Congee
3. Porridge
4. Plain Congee
5. Diluted Congee
6. Sausage

9. Milk
10. Egg
So this is the list of breakfast food I get to choose from. I have been having 3, 8 and 10 on a daily basis and no intention to try any of the congees. Though today I added no. 6.
I also tried no. 7 a few days ago and I can tell you in Europe, apart from the Corn Flakes and Egg, nothing on this list is what you think it is… the look or the taste or both!
A year ago I was told not I should cut down on meat and shouldn’t touch any processed meat so no prosciutto, no sausages, no andouillete etc. If I remembered correctly apart from 1 tiny bite of merguez I had 3 months ago, this is my first sausage in a year.
Packaged sausages in HK look and taste different. They colour is less appealing… and they’re somehow more salted, or it’s just the taste of “meat” they really are using!! KIDDING!
I didn’t finish it all, had 3 bites. It reminded me so much of those instant noodles with sausages I used to have for lunch when I was studying in HK. Bowls and bowls of preserved noodles with chemical soups and processed meat/fish down millions of oesophagus daily in such a highly educated metropolitan? One reason – Time is Money. Though I must add in some people do sincerely love instant noodles, I was one of them at some point I cannot deny. (The LOVE for instant noodles at 5am DOES NOT COUNT!)
I remember a year ago I came up with a big ?. Especially for those who love cars. Why would we spent BIG money feeding our cars with high octane gas and premium engine oil, but we dump junk into ourselves……
