Hmmm… what can I tell you…
I can show you 2 pictures of how the machine looks like. Apart from that, there’s really nothing much to say…
Alright it went like this… my appointment was scheduled at 15h20, I got there super early cos traffic was much better than what I expected.
I waited for about 15 minutes, during which I was on the phone with my cousin Ms. A. Then I heard the nurse calling my name, asked me the usual questions like what is your name and your ID number etc… and I followed her into a room where with a huge machine.
I took off my shirt…yes, only the shirt; walked over to the machine and lay down on my back with my arms over the head and my hands grabbing onto the handles. I had to be completely still. It felt kinda like getting ready for an amusement park ride. The only difference would be in the end, I would still be on the bed in the hospital but at the park… I’d definitely be vomiting on the ground!!
They then positioned the machine according to the lines on my chest… checking, double checking and triple checking to make sure everything is aligned correctly and my first radiotherapy session began.
The whole treatment lasted about 10 minutes. The part of the machine that is over the bed circles my body in 360 degrees firing loads and loads of x-rays at me… not that I could feel anything but it made strange sounds from time to time, like ziii….. or sound of liquid running through the arms of that thingy…

So it wasn’t painful?

Nope… or at least not yet. I think I’m getting thirsty though, not sure if it’s related.

Do you have any herbal medicine or fruit juice to go with your treatment, at least to soothen the burns, or to make you feel better?
