Tomorrow I will have my 1st radiotherapy session (out of 18).
My doc, Professor K, decided I should do low dose RT as 2 lymph nodes still showed up as abnormal in my last PET scan on August 30th, after 10 rounds of chemotherapy. The RT will focus on my chest, covering the area where I have had enlarged lymph nodes, from tiny ones up to the biggest I had which measured 8cm by 8cm….
To prepare for the RT they are going to put markings on my body today, so they’ll know exactly where to focus the machine.
I wonder how the markings will be like, I used to draw on a friend Mr. M’s face and body every time he passed out from drinking ONE can of beer, and he would not notice until everyone laughed while looking at him when he left the place.
Radiotherapy was the only treatment I really didn’t want to do because almost a year ago, before I started doing chemotherapy, my doc told me radiotherapy will increase the chance of relapse. That was before we realised I had a second Lymphoma.
